“The Poli” comes from the Bengali word polimati. The word describes the most fertile alluvium soil of the green delta in Bangladesh – home to the most sustainable plant fiber on the planet, jute, that makes value creation beyond ourselves possible.
The Poli logo’s negative space can be interpreted as a tree, pertaining to nature and an organic vibe. The triangle shape was used to symbolize the delta detail (a triangle being the mathematical symbol for delta), as well as the branch-like negative space, thus mirroring the way the natural delta branches out into larger waters. The triangle also conveys a sense of modernity.
